Hi, I'm Lisa, the maker behind Gather & Pleat!
I've been sewing for over 15 years, ever since I approached my grandmother and asked her to teach me how to sew Christmas bunting. Little did I know that I was about to be introduced to a hobby that would remain an obsession nearly two decades later.
These days, in my cozy home in Toronto, Canada, I aim to make every piece in my and my two-year-old daughter’s wardrobe myself. There's something incredibly special about wearing (and watching your little one wear) a garment you've made with your own hands. Every project tells a story, and every stitch reflects the care and creativity that went into making something truly one-of-a-kind.
I started Gather & Pleat because I believe all handmade garments and quilts deserve the perfect finishing touch that honours the time, skill and dedication you so lovingly put into them.
